Our Group Buys work in a similar way to a pre-order where you place your order upfront and then need to wait a little bit for it to arrive. The difference though is that you are also helping us to meet a factory minimum order quantity (MOQ) per unit. For Wetool that is around 300 pieces per variant.

As a small, organically grown business, we don't have the funds to place large orders with lots of variety. This is where the Group Buy portion is important. By pricing near our cost, you get a good deal and we can bring in more variety without needing to hit MOQ on every unit.

We price just enough to cover our estimated landed costs (unit cost, shipping costs, customs & taxes), plus a tiny little bit for overhead (workshop rent, fulfillment hours, credit card fees, restocking the beer fridge, etc). There is a lot of guesswork that goes in ahead of a group buy, but with nearly 10 buys under our belt, we have it down pretty good.

This group buy is not about us making serious profit. It's about breaking just above even so that we can get you access to high quality aluminum hardware, without you needing to worry about sourcing, importing, and meeting MOQ.

These prices are very good considering the above. We recommend you stock up as our retail prices will be significantly higher.

We are currently estimating 7-9 weeks from the time we place the factory order, until you receive your package. This includes 4 weeks for Wetool to manufacture the buckles, 1-2 weeks to ship to me, another 1 week to fulfill, and then 1-2 weeks to get to you, depending on the shipping option you choose.

We'll do what we can do speed this process up, but this is our best guess right now.

With the Group Buy, you pay for shipping at checkout as you normally would. Once we receive everything from the factory, we pack it up and ship it off. Shipping prices should be accurate but if you don't see a service that you would like, please let us know. We have more that we can activate in the back.

You are more than welcome to order products that are not included in the group buy. Once we have the items from the group buy, we will ship everything together!

Yes! We will send email updates to everyone who has bought into the group buy. Expect an email once we place the order with Wetool, when it ships from the factory, and once we receive everything. If anything else comes up that is out of the ordinary, we will be sure to keep our communication prompt and transparent.
