YKK's AquaGuard® NATULON® series is an eco-friendly water-repellent zipper option created by laminating polyurethane (PU) on the non-coil, reverse side of a zipper. The NATULON style is the new sustainable standard for all YKK Aquaguard products.
YKK's AquaGuard® NATULON® updates include:
- Recycled polyester tape (which helps reduce CHG emissions)
- PFC free water repellant finish
- 20-40% smoother in operation force
- New smoother appearance
You will notice that the YKK code for old Aquaguard was 5CFT8 (shiny). This new NATULON style is 5CZT8 (shiny). Look for the Z (ed) to make sure your stuff is the more sustainable choice!

The "Old Type" term on a couple of the variants indicates it is not a Natulon variety. This specific zipper is a product of Canada and is still high quality zipper. There is nothing wrong with it, I just don't want to hide it away on another listing as I don't have too much of it.

Colour is so hard to photograph and represent clearly. Below are the codes that correspond to the uncoated tape. The PU laminate tends to darken the colour a tad but looking at the YKK Colour Card will give you a pretty good idea in the event that my pictures are inadequate.
